Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between the Lite and Teams plans?
Lite is for individual professionals and includes 60 notes per month, monthly ($10/mo) or annually ($7/mo billed at $84/year). Teams is for organizations and group practices at $5 per seat per month, with a 5 seat minimum and 60 notes per seat. Teams starts with a conversation rather than a checkout, because we set up your organization and your Business Associate Agreement before your staff sign in.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. The Lite plan includes a free trial (7 days or 5 case notes, whichever comes first) with full access to all features. No credit card is required to start.
What is a Business Associate Agreement (BAA)?
A BAA is a legal agreement required by HIPAA when a service provider handles protected health information (PHI) on behalf of a healthcare provider. On TryCaSIE the BAA is signed once by an organization's manager on behalf of the whole team, and it covers every worker they invite. Solo practitioners who need one can convert their account into a single-person organization from inside the app and sign it there. If you're unsure whether your role requires a BAA, contact us at hello@trycasie.com.
How does TryCaSIE handle AI accountability?
Nothing is approved without a human review. TryCaSIE keeps track of what was entered, what the system suggested, what was edited, and when the note was approved, so everything is clear and explainable.
Is your AI HIPAA compliant?
Yes. TryCaSIE uses Azure OpenAI Service for note generation and Azure Speech Service for voice transcription. These are enterprise AI services, not consumer APIs. These services are covered under Business Associate Agreements that explicitly guarantee your data is never used to train AI models. This is fundamentally different from using consumer AI products. Voice recording is multilingual, so workers can record in their preferred language.
How is client information protected?
Your data is protected by enterprise-grade security: AES-256 encryption at rest, TLS in transit, and a private VNet with no public IP exposure for data services. Our infrastructure runs on HIPAA-eligible Microsoft Azure services with managed identities and Azure Key Vault for secrets. No sensitive information is stored on client devices.
Do you offer discounts for non-profits?
Yes. We offer 30% off for verified non-profit and government-funded organizations. Contact us to learn more.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Solo users cancel from Manage Billing in their profile; organizations cancel from the Billing tab of the manager dashboard. There is no cancellation fee. Monthly plans stop at the end of the current month. Annual plans are paid for the year up front, so canceling stops the next renewal rather than refunding the remainder.
What happens to my notes if I cancel?
Your notes stay readable, and you can still copy any of them into your system of record after you cancel. Nothing is deleted when a subscription ends. Notes and their audit history are retained for six years to meet HIPAA requirements, and we remove them only on your explicit instruction.
